Located near the historic Alaverdi Monastery, Alaverdi Resort draws inspiration from Georgia’s ecclesiastical and rock-cut architectural heritage. Forms characteristic of Uplistsikhe, David Gareja and Vardzia are reinterpreted through contemporary arches and sculptural volumes.

As part of the project, LightStudio provided lighting design, lighting calculations and luminaire supply. The lighting concept was developed in response to the overall architectural and interior character of the resort.

The lighting thoughtfully follows the architectural forms, highlights the textures of natural materials and further enhances the calm, monumental character of the spaces.
